CLEANERS AND STERILIZERS

BAROKLEEN (For treatment of new barrels to remove excess tannin)

Bulk chemicals are weighed and packaged when order is pulled. The chemicals are put in a poly bag, sealed and chemical name is handwritten on the bag.
CAMPDEN TABLETS (Use one tablet per gallon)
Contains sodium metabisulphite and is a convenient wat to accurately sulfite wine. Releases sulphur dioxide, which acts as a sterilant and antioxidant.      50 count

SODIUM METABISULPHITE
Sanitizer - use 2 oz. per 1 gallon of water. Antioxidant and bactericide - use 2/3 teaspoon to 5 gallons. Dissolve sulphite in warm water before adding.
POTASSIUM METABISULPHITE
Sanitizer - use 2 oz. per 1 gallon of water. Antioxidant and bactericide - use 2/3 teaspoon to 5 gallons. Dissolve sulphite in warm water before adding.
STRAIGHT-A PREMIUM CLEANSER (Use one tablespoon per gallon of water)
Cleans with oxygen and does not contain any chlorine, bisulphites, organic compounds or phosphates. Superior wetting power helps water penetrate and lift soils off surfaces. Removes labels with minimum soak time. Higher alkalinity dissolves and neutralizes acidic soils. Environmentally sound and biodegradable.
ONE STEP CLEANSER (Use 1 tablespoon per gallon of water)
Oxygen based with a favorable cleaning power and sanitizey on contact. Environmentally friendly and non-toxic. No rinsing required.
B-T-F IODOPHOR SANITIZER (Use 1 tablespoon per 5 gal. of cold water)
Iodine based sanitizer. Requires two minute contact time. Can cause staining.

PBW - POWDERED BREWERY WASH (Use 2oz. per 5 gallon warm water, soak for 30 minutes and rinse with warm water)
The only patented non-caustic cleaner designed to clean stainless steel and safe for use on glass, copper, plastic, brass and ceramic equipment. Environmentally friendly and safe to handle.


BEER ADDITIVES

AMYLASE ENZYME (Use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon)
BURTON WATER SALTS
Contains papain to prevent chill haze. 1 package sufficient for 5 gallons.
CALCIUM CHLORIDE (Use l teaspoon per 5 gallons)
GELATIN FININGS ()
GYPSUM (Use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon)
IRISH MOSS (Use l teaspoon per 5 gallons))
ISINGLASS
Keep liquid refrigerated. Use 2-3 tablespoons per 5 gallons. Add after fermentation. Stir directly into beer. Let set 7 days then bottle.
LACTIC ACID
Lowers pH in mash. Add 1 teaspoon per cup of water. Can use up to 4 teaspoons.
MALTO DEXTRIN (Use up to 8 oz. per batch; to increase body and mouthfeel)


WINE ADDITIVES

ACIDIC BLEND (Blend of tartaric, malic and citric acids)
ASCORBIC ACID (Prevents oxidation; use 1 teaspoon per 5 gallons at bottling)
BENTONITE (Removes pectin haze; use 4 teaspoons to 1/2 cup warm water)
CALCIUM CARBONATE
Lowers acidity in wine. Use 5/8 teaspoon per gallon to lower acidity .15%. Use before fermentation. Donot reduce acid more than .30%
CITRIC ACID
GELATIN FININGS (Use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon)
GLYCERINE U.S.P. (Finishing formula, to smooth out and mellow wine and liqueurs)
GRAPE TANNING POWDER (Derived from the bark of the mimosa tree; use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon)
MALIC ACID
OAK CHIPS Light Toast (For white wines use 1 - 1 1/2 cups, for red wines use 2-3 cups)
FRENCH OAK CHIPS Medium Toast (Usage depends on type of wine and taste desired, add to taste)
OAK ESSENCE (Usage depends on type of wine and taste desired, add to taste)
POTASSIUM SORBATE (Stabilizer, use 1/2 teaspoon per gallon)
SPARKOLLOID ™ POWDER (Dissolve 1 tablespoon of powder in 1 cup (8 fl. oz.) of water for 5 minutes. Add hot mixture to 6 gallons ofwine. Stir gently. Wait 1 week to rack or bottle.)
TARTARIC ACID
YEAST ENERGIZER (Use 1 teaspoon per gallon)
YEAST NUTRIENT (Use 1 teaspoon per gallon)
LQ SUPER-KLEER K.C. FININGS, 1.35 OZ.
Liquid clearing agent with a one-two punch combination of Kieselsol and Chitosan. One package is sufficient to clear a 5 or 6 gallon batch of beer or wine in two days.
ISINGLASS, 45 ml (From Brew King)
Made from fish swim bladders and used to clear white wines. Sufficient for six gallons. Add to wine, thoroughly stir and rack after two weeks. Sold in cases of 12 only.
DRY PECTIC ENZYME (Add 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of must before start of fermentation)
